On April 27, 2011, Mysore zoo received a new visitors of three chhetah cubs - first of its kind in INDIA after 50 years. Yes!!! A female cheetah - Brinda, which was brought from Johannesburg, South Africa on March 26 gave birth to one male and female cubs.
According to zoo sources, the cubs are hale and healthy. Zoo vets are offering VIP treatment to these little toddlers as the cubs are very vulnerable and the surroundings here are also new.
The three cubs were presented for public viewing on 22-6-2011. Mysore zoo is the second Indian Zoo, which is having Cheetah in its animal collection next to Sakkarbaug zoo in Gujarat.
Mysore recieved four cheetahs from Johannesburg, South Africa. They confirmed that one of the cheetah is pregnant and providing utmost care to deliver the cubs in an easy manner.
